I’ve always loved traveling. From my first trip to Europe, heading for my teaching job in the south of France, to the most recent, I’m passionate about exploring foreign countries. So far, I’ve been extremely lucky to have visited five continents.

Of course, I had to ride a camel up to the Pyramids! Giza.
Ever since I read Pauline Gedge’s book Child of the Morning, I’ve loved and admired Egypt’s 1st female pharaoh. At Hatshepsut’s Mortuary Temple. Deir el-Bahari.
Sailing down the Nile to the Valley of the Kings. Near Esna.
The paintings in the tomb of Seti I, 1279 BCE, look like they were done yesterday. Valley of the Kings.
Turkey
The fascinating Spice Bazaar, Misir Carsisi. Istanbul.
Topkapi Palace shines with beautiful hand-painted tiled walls. Istanbul.
In the middle of the Bosphorus with one foot in Europe and one in Asia. Istanbul.

Hungary
Széchenyi Lánchid Bridge unites Buda and Pest. Budapest.
We loved the colorful buildings in this town devoted to the arts. Szentendre.
Parliament on the shores of the Danube River. Budapest.
Hungary is known for its tortes. You know we had to try some! Budapest.
China
It’s a real challenge climbing up

Our compartment was tiny but luxurious.
